2013 Summer Institute for Educators on "The Lebanese in North Carolina"

Join other educators from across North CarolinaMonday, JUNE 24 (4:00 pm.) - Tuesday, JUNE 25 (4:30 p.m.)at NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY

To learn about
  • Curricular ideas for teaching about North Carolina through a global perspective
  • Strategies for differentiating the study of North Carolina for varied learners
  • A 2014 exhibit on Lebanese in North Carolina at the Museum of History
  • The history and contributions of Lebanese in North Carolina
  • The role of Oral History in the K-12 Classroom

Enjoy Lebanese food and cultural events, meet educators from multiple disciplines from across the state, and share your ideas for using and enhancing the curriculum that will accompany the Museum of History exhibit.

Scholarships are limited, and include the cost of lodging at a nearby hotel on Monday evening (if needed), meals, and materials. Apply using the "Summer Institute Scholarship Form."
