WHERE THEY LIVED- DIGGING THROUGH THE DATA
This activity allows students to create graphs, analyze patterns, and develop hypotheses using authentic data. The data provides the addresses of residences of Lebanese immigrants in Charlotte and New Bern, North Carolina, in 1910, as well as a list of occupants, their relationship to each other, their ages, and the years of their immigration. Students may complete these activities independently, in small groups collaboratively, or as a whole class activity. The following Common Core Standard is addressed:
